Review: My oh my. Fiction pulp is one of them rides in the movie. It is both a joy and a trial to sit through. Amazingly original and memorable, Quentin Tarantinos masterpiece trash gets old and never seems out of date. He put forward the American independent filmmaking in 1994. Miramax had been around since the 1970s and no one had heard of before the movie. Studio went into panic when the movie came out, because they knew it would be a big hit. Did naturally. Independent film became a rage and hit its peak in 1996, when four independent studios of the five films nominated for Best Picture. The screenplay and directed by Tarantino wonderful, but the cast makes the film work. John Travolta (Oscar nominee) reinvented his career with the film. Bruce Willis cemented her celebrity. Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman (both Oscar nominated) marketable superstars. Others make appearances: Ving Rhames, Christopher Walken, Eric Stoltz, Rosanna Arquette, Steve Buscemi, Frank Whaley, Harvey Keitel, Quentin Tarantino and of course himself. They are all also indelibly impress. Samuel L. Jackson which is the most important thing to me a lack of significant screen time Oscar after him. Just a great performance, all involved deserve recognition. Easy 5 stars out of 5.
